In our rustic cabin, tucked away in Ashe county, we are able to hear so much less and so much more all at once. One of my favorite noises is that of the owls at night. We rest by the secluded fire pit while our feathered friends, perched somewhere in the distance, croon to usher us into the enveloping rest of the night.
